I would recomment looking at the several youtube videos out there and maybe even trying the product. However - each to their own personal preferance and we all have different views on what is expensive tp their financial situation. For example there is no eraser tool - you have to use the subtraction function.

There are a few quirks but you can easily learn to work with them. Also creating a map quickly is the biggest advantage - I can knock up a cave system in about 5 minutes with floors, walls and backkground consisting of half a dozen smaller caves with connecting tunnels. In my opinion you pay once and you get the fan made assets for you to use with the drawing tool itself. This program has a low learning curve compared to some, it is still supported unlike others and being fair $15 is not a lot of money. I have several map making programs: CC3+, dunjini, dungeinographer, [paint.mnet, Tiler to name a few. Its a version online - not anywhere near as good as the paid for version on steam. Are you here just to troll or to actually find out more about the program?

Too be fair I'm not the happiest customer of Dungeon Painter Studio thusfar as I haven't seen much in the way of communication/updates despite this being a beta release/early access.but most of your points of contention aren't.really fair or valid? You're unreasonably antagonistic and ill informed with very little desire to back down from your stance. You're basically stuck with bland blacknwhites with DPO. You're confusing Dungeon Painter Studio with Dungeon Painter Online, which is a much much much less versatile/feature rich program. Wonderdraft for example is 29.99 iirc.ĭungeon Painter Studio is system agnostic. What other map builders are lower than $15 dollars and have free assets, developer made and community made?
